Project Objective:
To preserve and popularize the modernist architectural heritage of Lviv, making it accessible in a digital format for a Ukrainian and international audience.
Key stages of the project:
- Digitize five objects of modernist architecture in Lviv.
- Create 3D models of a block of municipal buildings: an "office skyscraper" – today known as the Trade Union Building at 7 Shevchenka Avenue, an upper-middle-class residential complex at 47-59 Doroshenka Street, an upper-middle-class residential complex at 8 Hrekova Street, a lower-middle-class residential complex at 16-18 Chuprynky Street, and a former villa, today a kindergarten, at 36B Hypsova Street.
- Involve students of the Kharkiv School of Architecture in practical work: scanning, data processing, and preparing 3D models.
- Provide students with guidance and training in the process of working with modern digital technologies.
- Document the features and materiality of the architectural objects.
- Prepare and present a part of the results at the international exhibition "The Great Repair" in Berlin.
- Popularize Lviv's modernism through digital formats and international cultural platforms.
