Paths of Ancestors: Sanok County
A virtual 3D tour of the villages and monuments of Sanok County (Poland) was created. The tour consists of 20 aerial and panoramic shots, supplemented by interactive infographics: statistical data of the villages as of 1785 and 1939.
The Skeiron team took part in a summer expedition within the framework of the "Paths of Ancestors" project, initiated by the NGO "Vyriy". During the research, a virtual 3D tour of the villages and monuments of Sanok County (Poland) was created. The tour consists of 20 aerial and panoramic shots, supplemented by interactive infographics: statistical data of the villages as of 1785 and 1939, marking of settlement boundaries according to 1938 maps, and designation of vanished villages and cultural heritage objects.
Thanks to this, users can "travel" through the territories where Ukrainians once lived before the deportations of 1944–1947, and discover little-known pages of history.
Project Objective:
To document and popularize the cultural heritage of Ukrainians who lived in the territory of modern southeastern Poland until the mid-twentieth century, and to make it accessible to a wide audience through modern technologies.

- Conduct a search expedition through the villages of Sanok County.
- Perform photo and video documentation of existing and non-existing settlements.
- Perform aerial and 3D scanning of 20 objects.
- Create a virtual tour with panoramas and interactive infographics.
- Process archival maps and sources to mark vanished villages.
- Prepare and distribute a printed and online guide "Paths of Ancestors: Sanok County".
