The creation of high-precision digital copies of three architectural monuments of national significance, utilizing laser scanning and photogrammetry to ensure their documentation security, preservation, and promotion.
Project Goal:
To preserve the architectural monuments of the Old Believer community, specifically three national churches in Bila Krynytsia, by creating precise digital copies (3D models). This ensures documentation security and provides virtual access to this heritage for researchers and the general public.
Tasks completed by the team:
- Comprehensive 3D surveying of three Old Believer churches using laser scanning and photogrammetry: the Church of St. Cosmas and Damian (18th century), St. Nicholas Church, and the Dormition Cathedral (early 20th century).
- Data post-processing: registering millions of points and applying photorealistic textures.
- Creation of detailed, geometrically accurate, and photorealistic 3D models of architectural monuments.
