Project Objective:

To provide a new level of accessibility and popularization of the Lviv Historical Museum's collections through modern digital technologies — 3D modeling, virtual tours, and augmented reality.

Key stages of the project:

  • Conduct research and select museum exhibits for digitization.
  • Digitize 64 artifacts of the Lviv Historical Museum in 3D format and publish them on the Sketchfab platform.
  • Develop a mobile application to interact with 3D postcards.
  • Create 7 sets of interactive postcards with AR technology (Korniakt House, Arsenal Museum, Palazzo Bandinelli, and others).
  • Implement 3D tours of 10 museum departments using Matterport technology.
  • Create the "Museum in 3D" website as the core of the platform with all materials and instructions.
  • Prepare an audio guide for the interactive postcards.
  • Ensure high-quality photogrammetry for high accuracy and detail of the 3D models.
  • Establish the possibility of scaling the platform to other museums and cities in Ukraine.
