Project Objective:

To create and popularize digital models of cultural heritage objects in Sataniv in order to preserve historical memory, encourage interest in the past, and stimulate the desire to visit this place.

Tasks performed by the team:

  • Conduct laser and photogrammetric scanning of five architectural monuments: the City Gate (15th–18th centuries), Sataniv Castle (15th–18th centuries), the Synagogue (1514–1532), the Holy Trinity Monastery (1654), and the water mill (19th century).
  • Process the materials and create digital 3D models of the monuments.
  • Recreate the original appearance of the structures using a translucent framework to indicate the destroyed parts.
  • Develop 1,000 sets of 3D AR postcards "Sataniv post cards" integrated into the "PocketCityAR" application.
  • Create an interactive digital map with the placement of 3D models of the monuments for online access.
