Scanning supported by POLONIKA
Thanks to this collaboration, we managed to create digital copies of dozens of unique churches and Roman Catholic churches, which are an integral part of our shared cultural heritage.
One of our most important partners in the preservation of cultural heritage is the POLONIKA National Institute of Polish Cultural Heritage Abroad.
POLONIKA is a cultural institution founded in 2017 by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Its mission is to care for the heritage of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which is now located outside the borders of modern Poland. The Institute implements restoration, scientific, inventory, and promotional projects covering dozens of countries worldwide.
The largest number of POLONIKA's initiatives are implemented specifically in Ukraine. Here, at the crossroads of cultures, hundreds of objects have been preserved as a testament to our shared history. At a time when war threatens cultural monuments, the Institute’s support is particularly valuable. Cooperation with POLONIKA allows us not only to record the current state of unique architectural objects but also to make them accessible for research and preservation in digital form.
For us, POLONIKA is not just a partner. It is a team of like-minded people who, like us, are convinced that cultural heritage is key to preserving identity, historical memory, and shaping the future.
