A wooden church in the village of Berezhnytsia (formerly Zhydachiv Raion, now Stryi Raion), Lviv Oblast, built in 1724 of spruce in the Boyko style. It is a three-frame, single-domed building measuring 12.7 × 5.9 m, with a surrounding gallery roof on projecting log ends; it was rebuilt in the 19th century and painted by M. Horbov in 1893. A monument of architecture of national significance. After the Second World War the church stood unused for more than 60 years and fell into disrepair; restoration begun in 2008 was never completed. Today the building is almost ruined, with only fragments of the wall paintings surviving.
