The manor was built in the second half of the 18th century in the Gothic style. In 1796, the construction of a new house was completed, and part of the estate was reconstructed in the mid-19th century, acquiring a classical appearance. The house featured a library, a hunting weapons museum, a picture gallery, and a large ballroom. A wonderful park spanning about 17 hectares, laid out in 1796, was the crowning jewel of the de Balmen estate. A giant oak tree has been preserved in the park. A special architectural highlight of the park was an observation arch with an entrance gate and a tower in the Gothic style. The Soviet authorities destroyed the manor. Only a wing built at the end of the 19th century with incredible brick lacework, the stable building, a part of the park, and the entrance gate remain.
