The railway workers' house of culture in Izium, at 3 Zavodska Street, built in 1923–1926 to a design selected through an architectural competition. A listed architectural monument (protection No. 7524-Kha). For a century it served as the town's cultural centre, later as the Palace of Youth. During the occupation of Izium in 2022, Russian troops used the building as barracks, set up a torture chamber in the basement and firing positions on the upper floors. On the night of 20 May 2024, a Russian Iskander missile destroyed about a third of the building.
