The Buchach Town Hall is one of the most outstanding monuments of Galician Rococo, built in the 1750s at the expense of starost Mikołaj Bazyli Potocki to the design of architect Bernard Meretyn. The building is crowned by a tall Baroque tower, and its façades were decorated with Johann Georg Pinsel's sculptures depicting the labours of Hercules. Most of the original sculptures have been lost or moved to a museum; the town hall's sculptural compositions are listed among Europe's most endangered heritage sites.
