The wing is an integral part of the estate of I.M. Skoropadsky, the first honorary citizen of the city of Pryluky and a representative of a prominent Cossack officer (starshyna) family. The estate was located at the corner of Romenska (now Kyivska) and Kladbyshchenska (now Himnazychna) streets. It is an original two-story stone structure. Some researchers believe it to be an ancient stone house (kamianytsia) from the Cossack era, rebuilt in the 19th century in the Romantic style. It can be assumed that the wing was built along with the main house in the second half of the 19th century. The romantic stone building resembles a medieval noble castle with a tower and narrow loop-hole windows. Teachers lived in the wing when a men's gymnasium operated on the Skoropadsky estate. Currently, the building houses the "Pryluky" television company.
