Monuments associated with the princely Ostrozky family, one of the most powerful in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Ostrozkys built castles and churches, founded the Ostroh Academy, the first higher school of the East Slavic world, and supported Ukrainian culture and book printing.
