Monuments damaged, destroyed or looted as a result of Russian aggression for which digital documentation exists. This collection represents only a very small fraction of the affected heritage: a vast number of damaged monuments were never digitised, leaving no accurate record of their condition before the damage. According to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, as of the end of September 2026, 2,161 cultural heritage sites (194 of national significance) and 2,665 cultural institutions had been damaged or destroyed, 571 of them completely. For the monuments that were digitised, 3D models provide a basis for damage assessment, conservation and reconstruction.
